*Zurna The algaita (also spelled "alghaita", "algayta" or "algheita") is adouble reed wind instrument fromNiger , particularly among theHausa people . Its construction is similar to theoboe -likerhaita and thezurna . The algaita is distinguished from these other instruments by its larger, trumpet-like bell.
