Casco Bay High School is a public Expeditionary Learning school in
Portland, Maine ,USA .Since the 2005-06 school year, the school has been housed on the site of the Portland Arts & Technology High School on Allen Avenue, in the city's
North Deering neighborhood. Crew
Every student at Casco Bay High School is assigned a crew. The students stay in this crew for the duration of their stay in the high school. A crew is a group of 10 to 15 students and one faculty member. Activities are held within crew four days a week. Freshmen students and their crews are sent on a one week long Outward Bound mini expedition. For that week students will hike or sail in order to get to know their crew members. Active members on this trip will receive 0.5 credits for physical education.
