London, Ontario, Canada to Ayoola and Comfort Akinradewo. She holds a tri-citizenship with Canada,Nigeria , and theUnited States and used to audition for commercials when she was little. Fort Lauderdale, Florida , where she was a three year letter winner in volleyball and was also on the basketball and track & field teams. She was an All-American selection in 2003 and 2004 and an all-state selection in 2002, 2003, and 2004. She was named the Florida Dairy Farmers Volleyball Player of the Year in 2005. As a freshman in 2005, she was named the
Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and theAmerican Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Pacific Region Freshman of the Year. She was named an AVCA Second Team All-American and led the squad in hitting percentage (.397), a mark which ranked third in the Pac-10, 13th in the nation and third for a single-season in school history. In 2006, she was named to the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team as she led Stanford to an NCAA Division I runner-up finish to Nebraska. For the year, she was named a First Team All-American by the AVCA and Volleyball Magazine. 2008 – She scored 117 points to lead all players during an eight-match tour of China in March-April. Also played three sets versus Brazil during three-match exhibition series versus Brazil. She played in 14 of 21 FIVB World Grand Prix sets in the Final Round and averaged 2.86 points, 2.19 kills, 0.52 blocks and 0.14 aces over the course of the entire tournament with a .387 attack efficiency. During the Final Round of the World Grand Prix, she compiled 42 points with averages of 2.29 kills, 0.64 blocks and 0.07 aces per set and scored a team-high 18 points versus
Italy on July 12 with 14 kills on 29 swings and four blocks.
2007 – Akinradewo averaged 3.44 points per set at the Pan American Games while hitting .513 on 76 swings and just six errors. She reached double-digit points in four of the five Pan American Games, including 14 points againstPuerto Rico on July 15 andPeru on July 19 in the bronze medal match.Collegiate Honors & Awards
