Woolwell

Woolwell is in the South Hams in the South West of England. It is also a suburb on the north edge of Plymouth close to the boundary of Dartmoor National Park. Woolwell is possibly best well known locally for its Tescos supermarket, and nationaly for its table tennis club ( [http://woolwell.co.uk Woolwell TTC] ) which is the largest in the South West.

It has a recently re-furbished One-Stop shop, hair dressers, fish & Chip shop (Woolwell Fish Bar), a Pizza takeaway (Papa Johns), Chinese takeaway (Eastern Star), Indian takeaway, primary school (Bickleigh Down C.E Primary School), community centre and a Tesco Extra Superstore.It is a long bus ride to the city centre but attracts families and first time buyers because of its eclectic range of housing and good neighbourhood. The area is sometimes referred to as Roborough because that is a historic village abutting the housing estate and carries more character and familiarity.
