Hasanak the Vizier

Amir Hasanak the Vizier (PerB|حسنک وزیر) (about 995-1077) was a famous 11th century vizier in the Ghaznavid Empire of Persia. He served Mahmud of Ghazni and was executed by hanging during the reign of Mas'ud I of Ghazni, son of Mahmud. His official charge was infidelity which was a politically motivated charge, and his execution was ordered by the Caliph of Baghdad.

His execution has been documented in Persian literature, by Abolfazl Beyhaghi.
