Blue Monday is a Blues instrumental by the Glam metal band White Lion which features on their 1991 album Mane Attraction. The main focus of the track is the band's guitarist Vito Bratta playing blues licks firstly in the key of A and then in G. The track is very melodic and both the guitar tone and licks are similar to those of Irish blues guitarist Gary Moore. During his solo spot at White Lion concerts Vito would often heavily embelish and improvise Blue Monday and keep it going for over 10 minutes.
This song was dedicated to Stephen "Stevie" Ray Vaughan.
