Rexdale Streethawks

The following material was retrieved from a Rexdale-based community newsletter published from June 1988 until August 1991. The monthly newsletter acted as a local supplement to the Etobicoke Guardian, a city-wide publication. Rexdale Streethawks was a ball hockey team based in Rexdale, a postal district of the former city of Etobicoke, which is now part of the new, amalgamated city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Rexdale Streethawks were what local sports critics considered to be "the finest ball hockey players ever to have played the game". The team formed in the summer of 1989 and disbanded in the summer of 1991.

Regular matches include battles with the "Bemberg Bombers", located in the old Elms neighbourhood of north Etobicoke, and "Dundas", named for the southern location of the team that occasionally traveled to Pine Point to play.

The Rexdale Streethawks included the following players who lived in and around Pine Point Park, the home playing area of the team:
* Domenic Pellegrini - defence
* Ross Porter - defence
* Jeff Griggs - goalie
* Michael Kondell - goalie
* Alan Davy - defence/backup goalie
* Kevin Barclay - left wing/coach
* Patrick Marcolla - center
* Alexander Marcolla - right wing
* Greg Milando - left wing
