Elizabeth Cull

Elizabeth Cull is a Canadian politician, teacher, and broadcast panel member. She was a former NDP MLA for the riding of Oak Bay-Gordon Head.

Political career

Ms. Cull was first elected to the legislature in a by-election held on December 13, 1989. She was re-elected in the following provincial election. Under the Harcourt government, she served in the high-profile Ministries of Healthcite web|url=http://www.leg.bc.ca/HANSARD/hansindx/35th2nd/names.htm|title=2nd Session, 35th Parliament|accessdate=2007-01-28] and Finance. Ms. Cull was also Deputy Premier for a time. She was defeated by Ida Chong in the 1996 general election.

After politics

When Ujjal Dosanjh was premier, Ms. Cull was his Chief of Staff.cite web|title=Regular Contributors|url=http://www.cbc.ca/ontheisland/columnists.html|publisher=Canadian Broadcasting Corporation|accessdate=2007-01-28] She later became a teacher of leadership at Royal Roads University and opened store dedicated to gardening. Ms. Cull is also member of the political panel on the CBCV-FM CBC Radio One program "On the Island".
