"Gone" is a song by 'N Sync from the album, "Celebrity". A Spanish language version of the song entitled "Te Has Ido" was released.

Debut

The single debuted on the band's 2001 Pop Odyssey World Tour during the summer of 2001 right before the release of their 2001 album "Celebrity", to further gain interest in the album. Most of the reviews were positive of the album. The commercial release wasn't until late summer-early fall of 2001.

Video

It was directed by Herb Ritts and filmed in August 2001, but wasn't released until late October because of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. The video is in black and white throughout, and has shots similar to Charlie Chaplin-esque footage. The video is a mixture of flashbacks of Justin Timberlake's video girlfriend and his world currently, all filmed in an apartment. The video shows flashbacks of his girlfriend's birthday party, and random parts in their apartment where emotional moments taken place. The video was a hit, becoming *NSYNC's 8th number 1 video for TRL and MuchMusic. The video even got spins on BET's 106 and Park. The video was the first and only all-white band to ever get rotation on the show.

The music video was nominated for video of the year at the 2002 Video Music Awards, but it lost to "Without Me" by Eminem.

It became a tribute song to the victims and families affected by 9/11. Fact|date=September 2007

MadTV spoofed the video on November 24, 2001 with "John", about trying to find the toilet after eating too much Taco Bell. The music and look of the video are strikingly close to the original.
