Umanosuke Ueda (born
20 June ,1940 in theAichi Prefecture as Ueda Yuji) was a Japanese professionalwrestler whose stage name was inspired by Samurai ofShinsengumi Umanosuke Ueda. After debuting in theJapan Pro Wrestling Alliance in1960 , he started the circuit inLos Angeles in1966 . In1974 , he joinedJapan 'sInternational Pro Wrestling where he held the IWA World Heavyweight Championship from June 11, 1976, till July 28, 1976. In 1996, he was in a car accident, which left him paralyzed and ended his 36-year career.He later went onto appear as a
henchman in the Japanesegameshow Takeshi's Castle up until the end of the show in the late 80's and also appeared in a movie.Championships and accomplishments
