Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights is the third album by HIM, which was released on 27 August 2001. This is the first album that new keyboardist Janne Puurtinen took part in, thus making it the first album with HIM's current line-up. The cover of Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights remains the last HIM album cover to feature Ville Valo on the front.
