Arsenal Real Estate Funds (or "Arsenal Real Estate", or "Arsenal") is a private equity real estate investment company founded in 2004 by three senior portfolio managers from the real estate investment arm of Prudential Financial and J. Brian O'Neill of [http://www.oneillproperties.com O'Neill Properties Group] . Arsenal specializes in higher return strategies and successfully launched its inaugural opportunistic fund in August of 2005, which closed to new investors in August of 2006 with over $150 million. Arsenal is also currently marketing its second fund, which had its initial closing in the second quarter of 2007.

Arsenal Real Estate Funds was named after the Arsenal in Watertown, MA, which was acquired in 1998 by O'Neill. The site was bought for $24 million, and was sold in 2001 for $162 million to Harvard University.
