"Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar" is a Bollywood film directed by K.S. Adhiyaman best known for directing "Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam" (2002). Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty star in the lead roles as husband and wife. Reema Lagoo, Mohnish Behl and Shakti Kapoor also star in the film. The film kept getting delayed but finally released on August 4, 2006, it was a box office failure. The film is a remake of the Tamil, Madhavan starrer, "Priyasakhi".

Synopsis

Ayaan (Salman Khan) is from a relatively rich family. He meets Ahana (Shilpa Shetty) who is very wealthy. It's love at first sight for him and the two eventually marry. They look forward to a happy married life but problems begin to develop between them including a clash between the two families. Eventually the two decide to get divorced, and this is when Ayaan realizes Ahana is pregnant, but wants to divorce the child, to pursue her dreams as a model. Ayaan however coming from traditional Indian values, refuses to let her, and in court wins custody of the child after Ahana gives birth. But, naturally, after giving birth to a girl, Ahana finds it hard to give away her child...
