Football club attendances (2006): The table below displays the highest football club/team attendance averages, across the football codes, for all regular seasons concluding in 2006. Regular seasons are also known as "home and away" seasons. These figures have been drawn from domestic and super league competitions.

Continental championships, such as the UEFA Champions League, have been ignored, as these lack a true regular season. Only those clubs achieving a home attendance average of 45,000 plus will be displayed in this list, to be updated annually. The world's major football codes include:
* Football (soccer) premierships;
* American football, whose flagship is the NFL;
* Australian rules football, whose flagship is the AFL;
* Rugby league premierships;
* Rugby union premierships, such as Super 14;
* Other major football codes, such as Gaelic football.
