The Trial of Davros is a 1993 theatrical production based on the
BBC television series, "Doctor Who ". It was written byMichael Wisher and Kevin Taylor for the Hyde Fundraisers, a group of Doctor Who fans who put on performances to raise money for various charities. The play is centered aroundDavros , the creator of theDaleks , who is being put on trial by theTime Lords ."The Trial of Davros" was first performed at "Remembrance '93", a Doctor Who convention held in
Hyde, Greater Manchester . Michael Wisher, who had played Davros in the television series, starred as Davros. Also appearing were Jean Rogers as the Inquisitor.A revival production was staged in 2005 for the 20th anniversary of Hyde Fundraisers. The remounted production included filmed inserts, as well as new material written by Taylor.
Terry Molloy played the role of Davros, appearing alongsideJohn Leeson as the Prosecutor,Jeremy Bulloch as Chairman Skellon, andPeter Miles , recreating his performance as Nyder from "Genesis of the Daleks ".References
