The Focke-Wulf Fw 42 was a twin-engined canard medium bomber developed from the F 19 "Ente" ("Duck") light transport.

Designed from 1931-1933, the Fw 42 featured a long, slender fuselage with gun positions at each end, retractable landing gear, and an internal bomb bay.
