Lürən ." The Luren is an ancient Germanicwind instrument from theBronze Age .Design
It consists of a mouthpiece and several pieces and/or pipes. The Luren is long and is in the shape of an S swung between 1.5 meters up to 2 meters. The schalloeffnung consists of a richly verzierten disk.
Dating
They have been found in Norway, Denmark, South Sweden, and Northern Germany of the 13 to 7 century before Christ in the Bronze Age. From these areas there are 60 well known Luren. They have also been found on rock-paintings from Scandinavia.
