Bridge to Breakwater

The Bridge to Breakwater is a defunct footrace held along the Los Angeles Harbor in San Pedro, California, featuring 12k and 5k distances. The race was run once, in 2006,cite web | url=http://www.dailybreeze.com/moresanpedro/articles/3872597.html | title=First Bridge to Breakwater Race is a warm-up for the future and the runners | publisher=Daily Breeze | Date=2006 | accessdate=2006-09-10 ] on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend.

Runners started underneath the Vincent Thomas Bridge at the Cruise Ship Promenade, then ventured around the Federal Breakwater at Cabrillo Beach, eventually ending back at the Cruise Ship Promenade.

The race was founded by San Pedro native Dave Behar. In 2007 the event was canceled the night before the race due to Behar's failure to obtain the required permits or insurance. The race was not run in 2008.
