New York, New York in 1835 and opened a law office. When an addition was added to Chicago in 1839, it was called Carpenter and Curtiss for Curtiss and developerPhilo Carpenter .Originally buried in City Cemetery, when the Cemetery was moved to make way for Lincoln Park, his remains were lost.
