Japanese reggae

Japanese reggae or J-reggae is reggae () music made in Japan by Japanese artists with lyrics in the Japanese language or in English (or often a seamlessly switching back and forth). Japanese reggae is a distinct yet closely related musical genre to J-ska, and falls under the overarching J-pop umbrella genre.

Like the J-Urban genre (to which many J-reggae artists arguably belong), J-reggae is full of collabos; it is not unusual for half the tracks on a given artist or group's album to feature fellow J-reggae or occasionally even J-Urban artists.
