Yunusobod Line

The Yunusobod Line ( _uz. Yunusobod yo'li, Юнусобод йўли; _ru. Юнусабадская линия; "Yunusabadskaya linaya") is the newest line of the Tashkent Metro, opened in 2001.

Expansion plans

After its opening in 2001 construction began on a northwards extension, however after 2004 all work has been abandoned at 15% completion due to financial difficulties. The planned southwards extension which will see the line snake around the city centre's southeastern perimeter and then head eastwards has also been planned.
