Idoia Zenerrutzabeitia Beldarrain

Idoia Zenarrutzabeitia Beldarrain (born June 6, 1959) in Usansolo, Biscay is a Basque politician. She is a leading member of the Basque Nationalist Party (PNV) and the current Vice-President of Spain's Basque Country autonomous community since January of 1999.

Beldarrain holds a bachelor’s degree in Law, majoring in Economy and Law, from the University of Deusto where she is lecturer in Political Sociology. She has been a member of the Basque Parliament for EAJ-PNV in the 3rd and 4th legislatures where she served as Secretary General for Co-ordination and Administrative Modernisation of the Basque Government, 1995-1998, and Deputy Premier and Minister for the Treasury and Public Administration since January 1999.
