River Marteg

River Marteg

The River Marteg is close to the classic Llangurig to Rhayader section of the River Wye in Powys, central Wales. It was previously a good supply of salmon, though numbers have declined over the years.

Its approximate length is 2 kilometres, with the gorge being a major hazard.

General (white water canoing?) description; "Grade 3 with a grade 5 gorge leading into the Wye."
