27 May 1907 inKrakow –3 June 1941 inAuschwitz concentration camp ) was a Polish footballer (striker ) and a member of thePoland national football team for the1938 FIFA World Cup . However, he didn't actually travel toStrasbourg for the tournament. His club at that time wasWisła Kraków . He capped twice for Poland, with both games against Latviaref|1. Arrested byGestapo on the streets of Krakow, was taken toAuschwitz , where the Germans shot him in June 1941.Sources
