- A65 autoroute
The A65 autoroute is motorway in south west
France , whose construction will start in 2008. It will connectLangon (Gironde ) to Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques ).Known also as "Autoroute de Gascogne", its length will be approximately 150 km. The construction project has been initiated by CIACT, who announced the beginning of work in 2008. Although the route has yet to be agreed. It will be built by a joint venture A'LIENOR, 65% owned by Eiffage and 35% by SANEF. This company has sought 500 million euros as a subsidy for the concession. The government decree approving the contract of concession is to be signed early 2007 to allow the motorway to open by 2010.
The financing, construction and running the motorway is to be born by the private company with no public subsidy required. Funds of over one billion euros will be needed from the shareholders and banks to financing the road.

The road will increase the speed of journeys from Bordeaux to Pau by automobile. It will offer an alternative to the RN134 and RD932 and RD934 (Landes and the Gironde). The road will start in Langon, near Bordeaux, where it will have a junction with A62, then cross the Gironde and the Eastern part of the Landes where it will integrate the By-pass round
Aire-sur-l'Adour , which is currently under construction. Finally it heads through the northern Pyrénées-Atlantiques joining the A64 atPoey-de-Lescar , near Pau.Environmental Impact
The road will consume 2000 hectares of virgin countryside, in particular sections of France's largest forest, Le Landes. It will also require 4 million tons of aggregates in its construction.
