The shell is rather depressed, but with rounded whorls, strongly sculptured with radial anastomosing wrinkles, less prominent on the base. There are four or five oblique spiral ridges that develop over the periphery of the
body whorl . The shell colour is fuscous, often tinged olive-green, and dark chestnut within the umbilicus. The shell diameter is up to 27 mm, and the shell height is up to 17 mm.References
