Thioacetic acid

Thioacetic acid is an organic compound with the molecular formula CH3COSH. It is the sulfur equivalent of acetic acid (AcOH) with a lower boiling point (88-91.5°C). It is used in organic chemistry for the introduction of thiol groups in molecules.
