A bomb threat was called into the Toledo Express Airport on January 12, 2007. Initially, authorities thought the threat came from a passenger with a cell phone aboard the plane after a 911 call was made to the Toledo Police Department. The person on the phone told the operator that there was a bomb on board of American Eagle Flight 4359 that was scheduled to take off during the afternoon hours on January 12, 2007. But officials determined the 10 a.m. 911 call didn't originate there, FBI spokesman Scott Wilson said. FBI later learned that there was no bomb on board and the threat was a hoax. The plane was heading for Chicago O'Hare International Airport, which also had officials worried.

As of January 12, 2007, the threat is being termed as a 'terrorist act' even though it is a hoax. [cite web | title = WTVG Toledo - Bomb scare at Toledo Express | url = http://abclocal.go.com/wtvg/story?section=local&id=4930274 | accessdate = 12 January | accessyear = 2007 ]

Later the following week, a new bomb threat was emailed to Toledo Express Airport. This threat was also ruled a hoax after FBI investiagtion.
