Lawrence Romorini

Lawrence Romorini is an artist who specializes in museum-quality, 3-dimensional works of art for companies, organizations and leaders to commemorate anniversaries, retirements and other milestone occasions. His studio is in Silver Spring, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC.

Romorini has completed more than 700 commissions of 3-dimensional commemorative collages for companies, organizations and leaders including Oprah Winfrey, General Electric, Chicago Bulls, Andersen Windows, Merrill Lynch, USA TODAY [http://www.corridorinc.com/content/view/129/5/] .

Romorini custom designs and constructs each retrospective. The art incorporates miniaturized photographs, publications and actual 3-D items to tell the story of the client. A perfect example is in a 2006 collage celebrating the life of the Wye Oak in Maryland, which recently fell from a lightning strike after 450+ years. Included is an actual branch from the oak is surrounded by photographs and symbols of Maryland's history during the tree's life [http://www.dnr.state.md.us/wyeoak/ArtGallery/LifeofaTree.asp] .The miniaturization of the items allow Romorini to include many pieces of memorabilia, thus telling a large story in a finite amount of space.

Born in Milan, Italy, Romorini was educated in New York City. From his early career in communications as an art director he went on to be the principal of his own advertising agency. He opened One Of A Kind Art Studio in 1985.

“Coming to the U.S. as a child from Italy, I developed an enormous appreciation for the opportunities in America,” he says. “I feel that my art celebrates some of the great American success stories.” [http://www.corridorinc.com/content/view/129/5/]
