George Frederick Senner, Jr. (November 24, 1921 – October 6, 2007) was an American Democratic
politician fromArizona .Senner was born in
Miami, Arizona . He graduated from Miami High School, where he played football and was president of his senior class. After graduation, he served with theUnited States Marine Corps for 27 months in theSouth Pacific and subsequently obtained his law degree from theUniversity of Arizona .Senner served on the
Arizona Corporation Commission , eventually becoming chairman. He was elected as a Democrat to theUnited States House of Representatives fromArizona in 1962. He was re-elected in 1964. However, he was defeated for re-election in 1966 by RepublicanSam Steiger .Senner died on October 6, 2007. He is survived by his wife, June; a son from a former marriage as well as a grandson.
