Europe by Satellite (EbS) is the TV information service of the
European Commission . It was launched in 1995 and provides TV and radio stations with EU related pictures and sound in more than 21 languages. The programming consists of a mix of live events, stock shots and finished programmes on EU subjects produced by various EU Institutions and Directorates as well as other broadcasters. It is available via unencrypted satellite signals and on the Internet. The service is primarily for media professionals.ervices

* on line broadcast quality TV and radio files (MP3 audio and MPEG2 video broadcast quality - same quality as EbS on satellite), available for download on internet, allowing the EU to reach broadcasters anywhere in the world;
