Dimitrije Basicevic

Dimitrije Bašičević (1921 in Šid, Serbia – 1987 in Zagreb, Croatia) was an artist, critic and curator, working under the pseudonym Mangelos. He made handmade books, [Dubravka Djurić, Miško Šuvaković, "Impossible Histories", MIT Press, 2003, p219. ISBN 0262042169] sculptures and paintings.

He was co-founder and director of Gallery of Primitive Art in Zagreb. Later he became the director of Centre for Film, Photography and TV. Mangelos shared his anti-art ideas with the Gorgona group. [ [http://www.msu.hr/msuzbirke_gorgona_e.htm msu.hr] ]
