London .In the early 1980s he photographed rock bands (
Fairport Convention , John Martyn,Marianne Faithfull ,Ry Cooder ,10cc ,Annie Lennox and more) in concert and for press work. His photos appeared inMelody Maker andSounds .
His work appeared in 2 books on Fairport Convention, both written byPatrick Humphries - A History of Fairport Convention (1982) and Meet On The Ledge (1997).In 1984 he began writing comedy sketches for the theatre group Newsrevue followed by stand-up material for impressionists
