Pomo basketry weaver, author, sage, and member ofSonoma County 's indigenous Pomo tribe. Allen authored the book "Pomo Basketmaking: A Supreme Art For The Weaver" (Naturegraph Publishers, Happy Camp, CA; 87961-016-6.) The school namesake was suggested by long-time Santa Rosa resident, Dan Shay, at the behest of the Santa Rosa City School District.The school yearbook is called "Phoenix" and has been published annually in the spring since 1995. The school yearbook goes by the name "The Tracker" and has been published continuously since fall 1994.
