badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in women's doubles with partnerZhao Tingting . They had a bye in the first round and defeatedGail Emms andDonna Kellogg of Great Britain in the second. In the quarterfinals, Wei and Zhao beatLee Hyo-jung andHwang Yu-mi of Korea 8-15, 15-6, 15-13. They lost the semifinal againstHuang Sui andGao Ling of China 15-10, 17-14 and the bronze medal match toRa Kyung-min andLee Kyung-won of Korea 10-15, 15-9, 15-7 to finish fourth place.Wei reached the women's doubles final at the
2006 IBF World Championships together withZhang Yawen , losing the final againstGao Ling andHuang Sui .ee also
