K59DJ is a low-power television station licensed to Eugene, Oregon. It is currently a repeater that broadcasts programming from the Trinity Broadcasting Network, via satellite. The station broadcasts on UHF channel 59. It has filed an application to the FCC for moving its signal to channel 38.

History

K59DJ channel 59 Eugene, Oregon began as W59AS. Most likely an FCC error assigning a "W" west of the Mississippi River dividing line on August 29, 1980. W59AS signed on the air in May 1982 rebroadcasting via satellite WDLI channel 17 Canton, Ohio and the PTL Network (Praise The Lord). W59AS was owned by Full Gospel Fellowship International.

On November 30, 1987 W59AS became K59DJ. Around this time a switch was made to KNMT channel 24 Portland, Oregon and TBN - Trinity Broadcasting Network. In 1989 K59DJ was sold to His Word Broadcasting Co. By 1993 K59DJ was using slogan call letters over the air "KHWB". Initials stand for the company name: His Word Broadcasting.
