Plot

One with the Glass Wings

"One with the Glass Wings" is told in three parts: Episode One, Episode Two, and Final Episode.

The story is about Hagane, a boy with Death Blood that kills any who touches it. He is in a forced love with a woman named Tsubaki who claims that she will love him like no one else. Hagane meets a girl named Ruriha who he falls in love with. During a fight, it is revealed that Ruriha and Tsubaki both have Death Blood and that Tsubaki is Hagane and Ruriha's mother. Tsubaki states that people with death blood can only love others of the same lineage, which is why Tsubaki can only love Hagane, and why Ruriha and Hagane love each other.

Hagane and Ruriha proceed in running away from Tsubaki and live in a small cabin. Ruriha is seen by a Kazusa near a river while collecting water who appears to be the girl's (who Hagane killed) little brother. He finds Ruriha and Hagane's cabin and tries to kill Hagane. Kazusa shoots Ruriha by accident and tries to kill her so that Hagane can feel the same as he did when Hagane killed his sister. Hagane ends up killing him as a last resort and uses his directions to find a plant to heal Ruriha.

Later on, Hagane and Ruriha are found by Tsubaki. Tsubaki drugs Hagane, making him unable to betray his blood. He is freed from the effects when Tsubaki drags Ruriha away, intent on killing her. Hagane comes into a room after Tsubaki had thrown Ruriha out of a window. Hagane is able to grab Ruriha before she falls but he ends up falling out of the window. As he is falling, white wings appear and he and Ruriha fall into the water. Tsubaki, in a fit of rage ends up burning the palace. Hagane and Ruriha swim to a rock in the middle of the water as Hagane watches the palace burn up in flames.

Firefly

"Firefly" is about a boy named Yuinne who is a demon that must eat a corpse's meat (animal or human) but refuses to eat anything that hadn't died of a natural cause. He is haunted by the memories of a girl he once killed to eat. He has a tattoo on his body that labels him as a demon. He runs away from his clan and meets Mia who lets him stay in an unoccupied cottage. The next day, Mia comes to the cottage to bring Yuinne to the town church, but he is unble to step inside for the holy air chokes him. After Mia sees this, she gives him her necklace, saying that the necklace will keep him loved and protected by a holy God.

One day, the townsfolk and Yuinne discover the graves have been dug up and eaten. Yuinne knows that it was punishment for him running away. As he is heading to the cottage, he is weak and he finds a baby bird and allows it to die a natural death to let him eat something. As he is eating, a villager spots him and tells the town.

The villagers spot him and try shooting him but Mia jumps in front of him. She ends up getting stabbed in the back and getting killed by Nakiri, a demon like Yuinne. After Nakiri leaves, Yuinne cries over Mia's body, wishing to see her smile one last time.

Jion Princess

"Jion Princess" is about a girl named Soyogi who is left an orphan and is a yorimashi for Princess Yura who was ill before Soyogi came. Soyogi looks almost exactly like Yura, which is why she was chosen to be Yura's yorimashi. Soyogi is considered only an instrument for the spell to make her Yura's yorimashi. The only one who really talks to Soyogi is Yura. Yura is always angered by Soyogi, but she doesn't care, Soyogi is content with because Yura treats her as a real person. As Soyogi looks into Yura's eyes, she sees her reflection and sees that both her and Yura look alike. Yura has finacee that has been arranged since birth and must stay at a monastery, thus leaving Soyogi. Yura yells and hurt Soyogi in a fit of anger, thinking that Soyogi is happy she will be leaving, not knowing that Soyogi actually can't live life without her. While Yura is hurting Soyogi, she starts to have an attack. She is blamed for Yura's attack and is hurt.

Soon after Yura's leave, Soyogi is abused, their reason being that the more miserable she is, the better Yura is. But she is numb to the pain. She no longer feels anything since Yura left her.

When Yura comes back for a visit, she requests to see Soyogi. Soyogi is very thrilled to see her again but is confused by Yura's kindness. As she looks into Yura's eyes, expecting her to look like Yura, she sees a horrible image of herself. She pushes herself away from Yura and runs away; it wasn't the same Yura she knew. Thus, she jumps out of a window to her death. Yura looks over Soyogi's dead body and tells her that she really did care for her.
