Shimoda, Aomori

Shimoda (下田町; "Shimodamachi") was a town located in Kamikita District, Aomori, Japan.

In 2003 the town had an estimated population of 14,130 and a population density of 280.13 persons per km². The total area of the town was 50.44 km².

The town was merged with Momoishi town and formed Oirase town on March 1, 2006.
