Hiraka, Aomori

Hiraka (平賀町; -machi) was a town located in Minamitsugaru District, Aomori Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 22,473 and a density of 101.41 persons per km². The total area was 221.61 km².

Merger

*On January 1, 2006 the towns of "Hiraka" and Onoe and the village of Ikarigaseki from Minamitsugaru District merged to form the new city of Hirakawa.
