"International Record Review" is an independent British monthly classical music magazine.
Established in March 2000, it reviews classical music CDs, DVDs and books. CD reviews are divided into orchestral, chamber, instrumental, choral, vocal and opera, with DVD reviews, invariably of opera, interspersed. A listing of new releases also features in each issue. As such, its format is very similar to the much older "The Gramophone" magazine with which it directly competes.
The magazine also shares a similar, but not identical, market with "BBC Music Magazine" and "Classic FM Magazine." Unlike all its rival publications, it does not offer a cover-mounted CD with each issue.
Indexes to reviews are also published at regular intervals.
