29th Brigade (Australia)

The Australian 29th Brigade was an Australian Citizen Military Force (CMF) brigade of World War II. The 29th Brigade was raised as part of New Guinea Force and formed part of the Australian 5th Division throughout the war. The 29th Brigade was originally deployed to the area around Townsville, in January 1943 the 42nd Battalion deployed to Milne Bay to relieve the 7th Brigade's, 61st Battalion.

The 29th Brigade typically consisted of:

*47th Battalion
* Supporting artillery, engineer and other units
