American Eagle Manufacturing Company, Inc.

American Eagle Manufacturing Company, Inc. is a US-based manufacturer of custom, high-end motorcycles, located in Carlsbad, California.The company was founded in 1995, in Santa Cruz, California. It moved to Hollister CA in 1997 and became one of the premier Big American Motorcycle companies of the late 90's. The company was in the process of producing an IPO and was hit hard during the dot com crash of 2002. It was acquired by a relative of one of its founders and was moved to Carlsbad CA where the company was used by Don Logan Sr. and Barrie M Logan to acquire investment money for there own use. The Logans were named in a law suit and upon the death of Don Logan Sr, a judge awarded the original company a owners 2.5 million judgment.

The company is still in the control of Larry Lunan and it is now a subsidiary of Bad Toys Holdings, Inc..They also market themselves as "'American Eagle Motorcycles, Inc but do not seem to produce anything.

The original company is named American Eagle Technology Inc. and it owns a US patent on a Big American Motorcycle Frame. The original company no longer is producing motorcycles and the legal proceedings continue

Products

American Eagle's current product line includes four models, the "Street Fighter", the "Raptor" and the "Falcon Sport Cruiser", all based upon a 100 cubic inch (1640 cc.) S&S Cycle V-twin engine, as well as the "Raven", which is powered by a smaller 96 cubic inch (1573 cc.) "S&S" engine.Each motorcycle is custom-built with various accessories and paint schemes to customer order.

Other “American Eagles”

The name "American Eagle" has been used in connection with various other motorcycles in the past.
*In the early 1970s, the Laverda 750 was marketed as the American Eagle in the U.S., and under that name was ridden by Evel Knievel in his later jumps.
*The English Sprite, a 405cc motocross bike, was sold in the U.S. as American Eagle. [See "Sprite" at http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/compendium/S.htm]
*"American Eagle Harley-Davidson" is a motorcycle dealership in Corinth, Texas, opened in 2002. [ [http://www.americaneaglehd.com/ Texas Motorcycle Dealer - American Eagle Harley-Davidson & Buell ] ]
*Because their old logos and many of their advertisements have featured an eagle together with the American flag's “stars and stripes”, some people refer to various Harley-Davidson models as "American Eagles", although Harley Davidson itself never marketed a model by that name.
*The American Eagle badge was placed on another Laverda and called the Renegade. It was a 150CC version built for the USA and sported fiberglass bodywork and had an additional 25CC over the European version.
