- Lea Anderson
Lea Anderson MBE is a British dancer,
choreographer andartistic director . Anderson is a co-founder along with long-term collaborators Theresa Barker and Gaynor Coward of the Cholmondeleys and Featherstonehaughs dance companies, she has choreographed over 100 dances with the two companies. In 2002 Anderson was awarded anOrder of the British Empire (MBE) for her contribution to dance. She specialises in pedestrian dance, a style of dance formed from everyday movements. For the majority of her dances Lea will begin by creating a scrapbook on a topic that has interested her in day-to-day life, for example something she has seen in the street or on an advert. In 1984 Anderson formed The Cholmondeleys an all female dance company. In 1988 she formed The Featherstonehaughs, at that time they were the only all male dance company in the
