Bell Capital Cup

The Bell Capital Cup, formerly the Bell Canada Cup is an annual ice hockey tournament staged in Ottawa, Ontario. It is open to youth teams aged 9-13, from all over the world. The tournament attracts over 500 teams annually and bills itself as "the world's largest hockey tournament." Format

The tournament is set up so that every team gets 4 matches. You have to win to advance to further matches. The finals are held at Scotiabank Place. The games are played in 35 venues, including the Bell Sensplex, the Kanata Rec Centre, the Nepean Sportsplex, the Ray Friel Centre, the Orleans Recreation Centre and the Ottawa Civic Centre.

2007 Tournament

The 2007 tournament had 510 teams, 8,145 players, setting a Guinness World Record.cite book|title=Ottawa Senators Media Guide 2007-08 |publisher=Ottawa Senators |year=2007 |pages=pg. 206] $196,000 was raised by the 2007 tournament for local minor hockey associations and charities. It was won by the Burlington Eagles of Burlington Ontario.
