Bagster was a Sydney based punk rock band that incorporated a two piece horn section (trumpet and trombone) with guitar, bass, and drums. The band played their final show on July 24th, 2008 at The Sando in Newtown. Despite their Myspace status saying 'on a break', it is unlikely that the band will play live or officially release new material again.

Bagster earned a solid reputation as one of the hardest working independent acts in the country, ignoring trends and fast cash grabs, the band toured Australia constantly for a number of years as both a headline band and support act to international bands touring Australia.

Bagster released 4 physical EPs, the last of which was a five track EP titled "Wellkumn To The Show Tonight". Two of the tracks featured on this release were recorded with popular producer Phil McKellar. There is talk of a potential album release however it is unlikely that the band will play live again to support it, it may be a free download of songs that were recorded before the band played their last show with the final lineup.

Bagster received some support from the majority of the countries radio stations across their releases. Nova 96.9 in Sydney gave strong play to the track 'Between The Lines' from the Onwards & Upwards EP. 'Skeletons' off the Brutiful EP was picked up by Triple J and selected as a winning track in their prestigious Unearthed competition. In (January 2008)Triple M selected the track 'Wellkumn' from 'Wellkumn To The Show Tonight' as a top 5 finalist track from 300+ entries in a competition to support Bon Jovi. Community stations such as PBS, 4ZZZ, FBI, 2SER, SYN have also supported tracks.

Bagster supported bands like Pennywise, New Found Glory, Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, Billy Talent, Lagwagon, Less Than Jake, Mad Caddies, CKY, Strung Out, The Suicide Machines, Streetlight Manifesto Crowned King, Bodyjar, Kisschasy, The Hot Lies, The Real McKenzies, Guttermouth and many more.
