Cath Kidston

Cath Kidston Ltd. is a company selling the designs of Cath Kidston who is Creative Director. It is best known for its textile prints (particularly floral designs) but also sells a wide range of items for the home and also for children. The first store opened in 1992 in Clarendon Cross in Notting Hill, London.

Over the past few years, the designs have become a household name and are the epitome of the "shabby chic" fashion and lifestyle. At present there are more than 12 stores in the United Kingdom and 1 in Tokyo, Japan. The designs have created many "spin-off's" by companies offering similar products at a cheaper cost. Cath's Lakeland terrier Stanley often features in catalogues and has been the motif for highly successful patterns. UK stores are expanding with York and St. Ives (Summer 2008), strong Japanese sales and a major catalogue for online business - discount sales are handled via Bicester Village, Oxon.
