Stanislav Šesták started his career at
Tatran Prešov . In December 2001 he moved from to Slovakian top clubŠK Slovan Bratislava . He only played two seasons inBratislava and then moved on toMŠK Žilina in December 2003. In the season 2005/06 Šesták was top scorer of the Slovakian competition. One year later his clubMŠK Žilina won the Slovakian championship. Šesták scored 15 goals in that season and was second in the Slovakian top goalscorer list.At VfL Bochum
