Psalm (street artist)

Psalm is a notable street artist operating out of Melbourne Australia. His notability comes from the prolific nature of his art, the skill of his work and his unique and individual style.

Psalm used to be an architectural drafter and didn't like it so went back to school. He is now a freelance graphic artist. Psalm has been involved in graffiti since about 1989. Psalm was one of the first street artists painting in Melbourne, starting in 1999. Psalm has inspired many others on to stenciling and street art.

The first stencil he saw was an A1 size reverse stencil of a revolver near Cardigan St Carlton.

The street art that Psalm produces are by rule, very small and detailed; and usually monochromatic. His subject matter varies greatly from pop art icons to re-contextualizing historical artistic images.

Psalm tries to never vandalize public property and has been doing stencil art for over ten years.
