Abraham Lincoln University

Abraham Lincoln University is an educational institution specializing in legal education. The classes are given through the Internet and on campus in downtown Los Angeles where local students may attend live classes week-nights and on Saturdays, and upon the completion, students are awarded a Juris Doctor degree and become eligible to sit for the California bar exam. Classes are archived online for review during each semester. However, this institution is not, and cannot be accredited by the American Bar Association [ [http://www.abanet.org/careercounsel/faq.html] ABA-CLE Career Resource Center ] nor is it accredited by the California Committee of Bar Examineers. [ [http://www.calbar.ca.gov/state/calbar/calbar_generic.jsp?cid=10115&id=5128#CLC] Law Schools ] Therefore, students at this institution must take and pass the "Baby Bar" after the first year of law study. Failure of the "Baby Bar" results in student ineligibility to take more advanced law courses or to take the State Bar Examination.
