Edith Pitt

Dame Edith Maud Pitt, DBE (14 October 1906 - 27 January 1966) was a British Conservative politician.

She was elected Member of Parliament for Birmingham Edgbaston at a by-election in 1953, and served until her death shortly before the 1966 general election, in which Jill Knight was elected as her successor.

Pitt had been Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Pensions from 1955 to 1959, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health from 1959 to 1962.
